The Mil Studios is a full-service, for-hire Photography Studio available for rent by photographers, hair and makeup artists or anyone in need of a space. Our normal opening hours are Mon-Fri 9am – 5:30pm, Sat 10am – 5pm.
Day Rate $250
1/2 Day Rate $150
$35 / hour (2 hour minimum)
Weekends & Hours after close:
Day Rate $300
1/2 Day Rate $200
$45 / hour (2 hour minimum)
Overtime: Time after allocated slot with incur another 1 hour minimum.
If you’re in need of earlier times or hourly bookings when you please, we offer a co-op renters membership. For a weekly rate of $50, you’ll gain complete access to the studio with a key, 15 hours of usage per month, and access to make bookings on the studio calendar. And not to forget full access to our ever growing props and backdrops — so many colours!! For more information, give us a call!
A one off $25 cleaning deposit is required for all renters shooting for the first time at The Mil Studios. This deposit is returned (or can be used as credit) if the space is returned in the exact manner it was handed to you.
If you require a full-lighting set-up to your specifications prior to the scheduled times slot, we can set up your lights for a small fee of $50. Please note that instructions on how to setup specialised equipment such as poly boards, other lighting and/or lighting equipment will result in a $50 assistance fee.
With MORE than 48 hours notice: You will receive a refund minus 1 hour. Or, if you choose to take a credit for the full amount, you will need to use it within 30 days of the original booking.
With LESS than 48 hours notice: No refunds. You will receive a credit minus the 2 hour minimum. This credit must be booked within 30 days of the original booking.
Same day or late-night-before notice: No refunds or credit given.
